Project Care:

As a community, we believe that an important part of our worship has to do with helping to meet various needs in our community and world. We resonate with the thoughts from Hebrews 13 which say: "let us continually offer our sacrifice of praise to God by proclaiming the glory of his name. And don't forget to do good and to share what you have with those in need, for such sacrifices are very pleasing to God."

Each week as we gather to worship the Care Can is available as a collection point for items needed by various people or groups in our community.

Current Project Care Focus: Advocates for Africa's Children

The African country of Swaziland has the highest HIV infection rate in the world, leaving behind over 132,000 orphans in a country with just over 1.1million people. Many of these orphans are left to fend for themselves. They are hungry and malnourished. Boys and girls are often led to prostitution in exchange for food. Financial gifts given during 2007 will be administered by Advocates for Africa's Children and used to start a poultry farm in Nsindatje, Swaziland. This sustainable, food producing, income generating project will be run by local churches in Nsindatje who have taken responsibility to care for a large number of children orphaned by AIDS.
